I came across my old hunting knife from my highschool years. I remember buying it back then and figuring it was just a cheap knife. Broke the handle way back when doing stupid stuff and threw it in a drawer....fast forward a few decades and low and behold ran across it. Picked it up out of the box and man....this is a nice knife! So did some searching and the closest thing i could find was a Uncle Henry? Looks identical but the stamping on the blade is different. Anyone have any info on this knife? I also would really like to refurbish it back into something i can use. Everything's in decent shape except for the broken handle which is MIA. Does anyone know if i can buy just the replacement handle or does anyone know of a good way to make a handle for it? I've made knife scales before that bolt into the tang but never something like this that i'd imagine would require a very long rectangular hole down the center? I was also thinking perhaps i could just buy a new one (probably chinese made) and simple swap out the handle and shims?
