I have a Schrade USA 165 knife with sheath and a Buck 110 with sheath. I can't figure out how to put pics with this post. I've read on here that the Old Timer is pre 1974. Is that high carbon steel? I don't know much about these except they are old. Any information would be appreciated. Value? Years? Rare or plenty of them? Thank you!

Please read the sticky at the top of the page. Valuation questions require a paid membership.
But I'd recommend cruising eBay and look at similar knives in similar condition, and look at how much they sold for.

If it's marked "Schrade +", then it's stainless. For that time period it would have been 440A.
If it's just marked "Schrade" then it's 1095 carbon steel.

As a registered user, you can post pictures using a picture hosting site. I use Imgur, but there are others. Once you have uploaded a picture to the hosting site, copy the web address of the picture. Note: picture web addresses must end in .jpg or .gif

Then go to your post and click the image tool on the toolbar next to the smiley tool. Click the link icon in the popup. (Looks like a chain.) Paste the picture address into the window. Then click the INSERT button.

Thank you! Sorry for the value question. I figured it was carbon steel.
