Saw an acquaintance carrying a Schrade Uncle Henry, but don't know the model number. Very thick, stout blade. Whats the difference please in these two?

thx

Maybe I'll just talk to myself for a bit. :)

Went ahead and bought a like-new Uncle Henry LB7 off of ebay. From what I gather, its like a heftier version of the Buck 110, more or less.

cheers

According to this page, the LB7 had wood handle scales, while those on the LB8 were "Staglon."

You'll like your LB7. I bought this one in the '80s:

Thanks. Should have posted this in the Schrade collector's forum, but I wasn't aware that forum existed. :)

What I liked about the LB7 I saw was that it was so dang beefy. Thick blade, thick liners. The guy had been carrying it for about 25 years, and that just magnified the neato factor for me.

cheers
