Guess the tag says it all. I'm sure there will be opinions expressed. A while back someone asked me to come up with some photos...

Looks like a step in right direction . Is that some kind of new patent for the release mechanism?

I'd have to say I like #2 the best. Is that bone scales?

Do you get to choose one when you join the new Schrade Collectors Club? :D

A side by side look. The look is Great Eastern Cutlery maybe. I've seen some trappers for sale, the Schrade Fire and Ice Series, they look fairly similar with the same stamp. Some of the Tidioute line looks similar too. It offers 1095 carbon steel I think. Pretty good looking knives. I like the slim blade.

Definitely Great Eastern, the jigging and shape are unmistakeable, as are the Fire and Ice slippies as Thawk pointed out. They're a new startup out of Pa. and make a nice knife. That's the first "custom" out of their regular format as far as I've seen. I like it!

now if Taylor Cutlery could do an SFO with Canal Street Cutlery of a few traditional patterns in lets say D2 and jigged bone ? then we're getting closer to Schrade ! roland
