Schrade+ USA Old Timer 470T

Just picked up a Schrade+ USA Old Timer 470T in good condition, I've searched but there's not much here about them. This would seem to be one of the old ones, anyone know when they came out? Any opinions about them? Seems like a good solid work knife but I just got it so I haven't used it yet.

This isn't mine, but it looks just like this one, says Schrade+ U.S.A 470T on the tang.

I have one. I got it about late 90s. I dont know when they started making them tho, but you can get unmounted blades for them that were sold off when schrade closed down in USA, so they were around till the end I guess.
 
That's good info, I had read about the change in steel but didn't know when and hadn't seen that HRC number, thanks for the link to that thread. I sharpened it up a bit ago, it was very dull, just a few swipes and a couple of strops and it was hair shaving sharp, I was a bit surprised it was that easy.
