I can't find any of these online with the gold scales. I have seen reference to MOP (standard) and a vague reference to some being made with 'other materials'. Hopefully I didn't get conned. Made from '53-58 from what I can gather. Definitely a SWEET little knife and looks like the real deal. Tang stamp looks good although I can't get a decent pic it is so small. I'll have my wife try later. No blade play, beautifully made knife. I don't know if I'd consider myself a 'gentleman', but I like the knife a lot. ;)

I would truly appreciate those more knowlegable than myself chiming in with any info on this. I'll be filing my nails....

That's defintiely the real deal LKJW, had my eye on it myself. Here's a link to another, see post #11 if you're not sent to it directly. There's a copy of a Fortune add for that particular knife as well up at post #2 as well. It was actually a holdover from the Schrade Cut.Co. days:

Eric, thank you for this. Awesome. I searched and searched...guess I didn't know the terminology. I don't know how much it is worth now, but it will go to my daughter someday. If it cost 125 bucks in 46...definitely the same knife...says 1/20 10 K GF on the bail. Maybe I should get this one insured. Well, at least my wife is not mad I got this one.

It's a thing of beauty, too.

Nope, still there in post #2. I've actually got one of those adds here as well, I'll scan it tonight and post to this thread. The knife is most likely worth about what you paid for it, at least at the moment. The smaller gents knives don't command as much as the more popular big jacks, even though it took considerably more skill to build them. The price in fortune was phenominally high for that time period! Guess if you were reading the mag you could afford it:eek::D:D

Great looking knife ,obviously quite rare If you were planing to sell I think it would command a pretty good dollar .I know I sure love to add thi baby to my small collection of Schrades.Very nice .Regards ChuckV

Thanks Chuck. I sure like it. I have a lot of knives, but nothing like this one.

Whoa! I like those kinda knives, with slim brass handles, where as something in stag or bone has uniqueness and complexity this has refinement and simplicity.

9/10 in my opinion

Would it be 10/10 if you knew the brass was gold? ;)
