This is my first post here after lots of reading. I can't seem to match a picture for this model. I'm interested in input on the Schrade Camp knife that I just got from my Dad's estate. It looks similar to the PA Ulsters and 50OT four blade knives but the emblem is round (Schrade Walden) and the blade is labelled Schrade Walden N.Y. U.S.A. Sorry, I don't have the picture uploaded anywhere to help but can email it.

Could anyone tell me more about this one in particular.

His others were a little two blade imperial he carried in his suit pocket and a 708 EDC. Thanks Curt

I'm sure Mike or one of you will prove me wrong but the graphics of that round shield (which is very cool btw) don't seem to match the apparent age of the knife. The shield also doesn't seem to look right stuck onto the jigged scales. Could it have been added at a later date? Just curious.

This is a legitimate knife, with a legitimate shield, and is appropriate for the Walden tang stamp. I have 2 or 3 of this pattern myself.

I did find a pic of one of them:

Perhaps Mike has some info on it that I don't...:)

Thanks for straightening me out Glenn. I wasn't implying anything untoward. It just struck me as odd. Add yet another to keep an eye out for.

Yes I did look it over after the first question and it looked totally factory. Any other information or model, date for this knife.

Also, if I wanted to add the key ring back to the knife to make it complete where would I find one?

Thanks for the replies. Curt

No harm, no foul, and I hope I didn't come off as a know-it-all :foot: (Cause I certainly am far from it)

I tried to find mention of this pattern in my catalog resources, but came up somewhat empty. I did see the same pattern, but with an oval shield instead. So basically, the only evidence I have is 2 or 3 samples of the same exact knife.

Speaking of ones to look out for, I had never seen a Schrade Walden like this before, until I saw one on ebay a while back. It has the same style writing on the shield, however, the shield is a different shape. I have since picked up a few more like it.

S.T., As far as a bail, that's a tough one. I always thought that they were pinned all the way through, perhaps this is a keyhole construction? I never took mine apart to find out. :D The only advice I can offer is to find a junker, or try to match a similar bail.

Also, maybe Mike can add some info about this pattern...

Thats neat I've never seen one of them what is the blade stamp. Id Like to find one of them. What did you search on ebay.-joel

They have a Schrade Walden tang stamp on them.

I saw one once on ebay that had Abercrombie and Fitch printed on the scales, but it went to another home instead of mine...

I look for them, but they don't come up too often...

These are the 3 that I do own...

They were sold in pattern number 900 and 906, I first see them in the 1955 Belknap catalog

Happy hunting...
