Schrade Walden: Can't tell if I did in fact by the authentic item or how old it is.

This is my first Schrade made in the U.S. I have been trying to determine if what I got from an estate sale is the real thing. I am also unclear about the decade it came from.

I believe you have a genuine Schrade Walden USA, made in 1973. It was the inaugual year for the 227UH and the only year marked SCHRADE-WALDEN . Great pick up.
