Hi all. New person here. Was told this was the place to ask questions and get good answers.
I have a couple of yellow handled Schrade Diving knives. One has a dee guard. The other has an S shape guard. both are Schrade Walden, stainless, made in USA. Sheaths are bad old broken plastic, so just say no sheaths.

Any value on these things?

Thank you if you can help me.

G'day Oldknife.Welcome to BF and where we Schradeaholics Anonymous hang out..we dont even have to attend meetings!... You have a couple of very scarce Walden's.... only 850 ever made from 1961 to 1965...I have brought up the posting I made regarding the history of these rather unique knives....I have 4 so between you and me there are only another 844 out there and many may be resting on the seabed in the last 45 years of use.
I just bought another Ebay item 400090081963 if you care to search. Its a J.C. Higgins etch Walden made for Sears...its not mint ,my other 3 are. I just paid US$64 for it..however seller had no idea of what it was or its relative scarcity..dont think too many others did either.
I previously was happy to pay $176 for mint version with original mint yellow sheath and I originally paid US $200 for Mint in original box "Cutlass" ' D 'knuckle guard with mint alternate heavy black plastic sheath.... their designated numbers were SD40 & SD41. Frogman Defenders..so this will give you the variances in values....you can view some of mine on Larry Vickery's site Schrades R Us...under Collectors Corner..Larry H Downunder.....good luck, nice knives...Hoo Roo
