I recently picked up a fixed blade Schrade-Walden,No. 148,at an estate sale.The blade measures 4 5/8 inches in length,wooden handle,topped off with a pinned aluminum bolster end. I've looked high and low for info pertaining to approx. date of manufacture,what the knife sold for new,and any value in the knife now.The knife is in good shape,I need to put a good edge back on it,and am making my own sheath for it. Any help you folks could provide for me would be greatly appreciated.I haven't been able to uncover anything about the knife.Thank you

You should ask in the Collectors forum section. There's a special sub-forum just for Schrade knives in there. You might even find that model has been discussed already, if you search the Schrade section for "148". I know the guys down there would love to see a picture of your knife too.
