I have a Schrade-Walden Old-Timer Honesteel with a sheath. It is in very good condition and I would like to know a little about it. I have a few knifes that I have collected over the years and am fairly new to this area. I am very intrested in getting some information about the honesteel that I mentioned. Is it at all rare and worth anything? I really do not even remember how I came to have it but it is in very good condition and lookes like it has never even been used. If anyone has information about it please reply, your input would be greatly appreciated.

I have one . Got it back in the 70s. I never use it anymore. Dont know much about it.

if you are talking about the one that folds up into a leather sheath then they were produced in 70s. last production i do'nt know. may have some collector value, if no one here can help you ,go to All About Pocketknives.

They made them up until right before Schrade went out of business. I have several and use them occasionally. I prefer diamond abrasives. The honesteel is coated chromium carbide. They are pretty much the same as a butchers steel only flat.
