Schrade-Walden

I'm looking for ifo on a Schrade-Waleden knife. It is has Schrade-Walden, N.Y. U.S.A., 141 on the tang and on the other side on the blade it has HI-CARBON TOOL, FIELD & STREAM. It is 8 3/4 in overall with a 4 1/4 in blade with a wooden ring handle and a bear head on top. Anyone know when it was made? Thanks.

Thanks for the info OldKnife. Was there a series of theses knoives as I have also seen a 148 without the bear head?

141L 8-1/2" Leather ring handle, saber ground carbon steel blade; brass guard; aluminum birds head pommel first run 1958-1959 called Tall Tail after 1966 1966 to 1973

141L 8-1/2" "Tall Tale"; same as 141L above but with an aluminum bear's head pommel 1961 to 1965

Stanley Kubrick, people, KUBRICK! If you haven't seen his films then you have a treat in store. More Oscars than you can shake a stick at. His use of classical music in the film scores is masterful (and he saved a lot of $$$, no copyright fees!).
