I was looking for some information on the warrens. I have a nice wooden boxed set of the 1 and 2 they are not serialized and the shield says NCM on it.

When I searched through the archive, I saw that redshanks posted a pic of one with a blank shield with no serialization.

I've also seen one with no shield that was serialized. Did they do the different styles for different companies?

I've seen it stated that there were 1000 made and I've also seen that there were 1500 made. Is that just for the serialized ones or all together? How many different styles were there? etc. etc.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

No, Warren is correct. Warren Whittler set, I think to be exact. I've only seen the two knives in the set, no others.

According to Levine's, there were two different issues (one was "NCM"). The set I have has "NCM" on the shield and is serial numbered. I've no knowledge about the other set except maybe(my guess) it doesn't have any shield stamp and/or Serial Numbers.

Hey thanks for the info guys. Why would they only serialize some of the knives? What kind of a value difference do you think there is between the ones serialized and those that arent?
