I am looking for a photo of the old Schrade Woodsman (at least that's what it think it was called) it had a 5" blade, or there abouts, with an upswept point, brass guard, and a delrin full tang handle. Can anyone help?

The Woodsman is a 165OT..
Codger will be along in a minute to post you a historical perspective of one of his favorite patterns.

Beautiful Knife!
Hope to find one like that for myself.
Codger, I agree the 165ot has got to be the best knife schrade ever made.

Thanks very much everyone - must apologise for not getting back sooner. I had a Woodsman I bought circa 1970 and in was great in North West Qld for pigs, roos, sheep and even cattle but unfortunately one day it walked away never to be seen again.

Unfortunately, the best knives do tend to walk off. But even though Imperial Schrade is closed, the knives are still available. Often for less than their MSRP when they were discontinued back in 1991. They were $51.95 then, and I see a lot of them in excellent condition go for that or less. In 2006 dollars that is...um... I don't have the formula for inflation index, but I am guessing around $78-80 now. And that is not far from what you can get one still new in the box for.
