I saw this mention somewhere in the forum, but I have never saw one. I tried looking it up on the web, but still no go. I looked in the collector-of-schrades and it was not mention.
Was this a production knife, maybe short lived?

I have a catalog drawing of the knife somewhere, will keep looking for it. It was a planned knife, but apparently never made it into production.

Thanks, ISC-RIP... I'll be looking as well.
Mike, thanks for the pic, I'll put it into my Schrade folder.

I had just about given up and was happy with the thought that it didn't exist...
Thanks. :(

You will note that unlike the other "X-Timer" fixed blade knives (XT1B, XT2B, XT3B) the 9" XT4 was not slated to have the black blade coating, nor to use the black molded TPR grips on a hidden tang, but rather slab style rivet mounted scales on a full exposed tang. The decorative holes in the blade are very familiar to anyone who has a Walmart SFO SQ432 Flash (Silhouette pattern).

These were available as both SQ432 (plain blade sold to WM in spring of 2003) and SQ432S (Partially serrated listed in the 2004 Schrade catalog).

You can also see a relation between the XT4 and the ill-fated 152OTX. Man, I wish they had made this one!!

The "B" at the end of the model number indicated the black blade coating. There were plans for the XT2 & XT3 to be produced with a bead blast finish.

As regular production items replacing the XT*B knives, or in addition to them?

Codger,
Where did the pic of the 152OTX come from? I assume it was an idea not put into production. What more can you tell us about it?

It's cool! :D

I have five XT4s and I think Lobo has one. (That ought to wake someone up)

I can tell you that it was offered to Wal-Mart, but in their infinite wisdom, they turned it down. But Arrowhead (AKA United) did produce it as a Rigid after the Schrade closing.

That sheeeeeethmaker, always stirring the kettle, he is.
I may have had one...but IIRC, I traded it to some guy named Rezin.

Ciao.

I had one at one time, but I traded it off to this old crazy guy, I think his name was Codger, he was a real big fixed blade fan :D
