I recently picked up a A hrade UM153, almost identical to a UH 153. I have done some searching online for info on my knife but so far have come up empty. Anyone here heard of one or give me some guidance on where to find some pertinent info?

thanks

Well don't know anything about that knife but the people here should.

If a thread needs to moved, simply click the triangle to the bottom left of every post. This is the report button and one of the mods will take care of it. We also have a Schrade Knives Collectors Forum

Do you have an pictures of the knife? We like pics!

Oh, and welcome!

Currently I am using a borrowed laptop as my pc is down so cannot post pics right now. As soon as I get mine back I certainly will. The knife looks exactly the same as a 153UH which I understand to be an Uncle Henry. I picked it and a brand new 1080T Old Timer (box and paperwork included-the blade looks as if its never been touched) together at an auction at a very low price.

The Schrade has Schrade+ on the blade and Schrade Super Sharp further down the blade toward the tip......LOL, I guess I really needed these new glasses I picked up today. I just went down to look at it and its not a 'UM, but rather a 'UH'..a 153 UH. What a dummy.....lol....but I will say its a very nice knife, solid and very sharp. For $10 I got a couple of quality knives from the looks of it. But I will get pics posted as soon as I can.

Sorry for the bother.

Hi glyde,
Your 153UH should look like this one. This is an early 153UH but your knife will look like this one.
However, If you only payed $10 for it you should check to see if it is stamped USA.
If it is stamped USA, go back to the seller and kiss him 20 times; If it is not stamped USA, it is a nice copy made in China.

It is stamped USA. Not sure about kissing him though....lol

Its just like the picture too.

I also have this knife that was given to me by my father in law before he passed away. I looked but did not see 'Solingen' anywhere so not sure where this should be posted.

On one side of the butt of the blade it says '82X', and on the other side it says' Wildcat Solingen Germany'. On the blade it has 'Extra Hollow Ground'
