If Schrade had a Montana workshop all their own, they kept it a good secret. The knife must be one of the many little known about private issue Schrade limited editions.

If Schrade ever had any presence here in Montana other than retail, its news to me also...BTW...get your maps out, find Haugan, Montana...its between Saltese and De Borgia....I was over there this last weekend, and in the 10,000 Silver Dollar Bar and Casio they have a serious knife outlet w/all the eye-level countertop space full of imported crap....being the knife enthusiast I am, I looked down below the countertop space and saw 100's of Schrade and Old Timer SJs and fixed blades NID...new in decay...pushed to an out of the way spot due to their slow sales no doubt...the prices were sky-high, for example I priced a new Golden Spike out at a short $80....the SJ were in the $25-40 dollar range on average....I did see the Trapper w/the toothpick and tweezers, not sure of its name for about $30...I passed on it, was that a mistake? I thought to ask the owner if he wanted to sell the whole pile of the 100-150 or so of his inventory but the wife's looks as she seen me calculating put a stop to that...my point is that there are Schrades out there and they might get cheaper as retailers get tired of looking at them....
