Hey Guys.. When I started collecting around 10 years or so ago, it was mostly fixed blade pieces. My very first custom was a D'Holder "My Knife" which to this day is still one I get a big kick out of.. Soon after that, I bought a hunter by Schuyler Lovestrand from the couple that owned Arizonia Custom before Julie bought it. Even back then, he had a solid reputation for quality and value. Some of the ones I have added since are a bit different than the sub-hilts and larger fighters seen here once in awhile.. I hope you enjoy seeing a few from my collection...
This is the hunter I mentioned above, which Sam Alfano engraved for me... Very rough and unique ivory on this one...
This an older boot model which I believe he no longer makes.. I never see them anymore. The stag is so nice here....
My most recent pair are these matched engraved fighters. These have changed hands twice recently, but they are home for good now that I lucked out.. Thanks again Coop for lending me the photo.. Awesome as usual..
Another model I don't see often is this large guardless fighter. This blade was very hard for me to show off, it's very deeply hollow ground. I love the way he finishes most of his knives leaving the flat areas in a satin finished.
This one is a beast. A very big, heavy fighter with Walrus artifact handle.. Look at how crisp this blade is. In person the finish shows off his skill much better than my picture..
Handle and ricasso area close up...
Lastly, a neat medium sized, (5"), fighter with crackled ivory. This picture shows the really nice grinds a bit better.. I love this design, very nasty looking...
If anyone wants to share some of their knives by Schuyler, please feel free to add them to mine. I see him post here on BladeForums now and then, so perhaps he will drop in and comment on some of the knives... Best Regards, Rich
