Andre, everything you make is "something different" - you are a true artist and a craftsman. I always enjoy viewing your work.

Nice article in Blade, by the way. Congratulations on receiving the much deserved recognition.

All I can say is that I SO wish that was sitting on my desk right now. I wouldn't be getting any work done - and I wouldn't care.

Thanks Wulf!

I have not heard anything about the blade article... was some talk last year but after that I haven´t heard or seen anthing. Well, I hope it was good:)
Can you please tell me what number it was on the magazine so I can order a copy. It´s impossible to find it in the shops where I live.

+1 What Wulf said! That could easily be used as the definition for "Art knife". That is SO cool! I just read the article in Blade also. It was great reading. Congrats!

Peter

Andre, the article appeared in the September 2011 issue of Blade (Vol. XXXVIII, No. 10), beginning on page 20

Andre,

Your work always amazes me. This one is just perfect; so self contained.

John

To add: The Blade article is very good. The "september" issue, for whatever reasons, comes out in June. It's the current issue.

I've been watching your work for years. You were doing mindblowing work when I first saw it, and you've just amped it up since then.

Oh, so it´s not out yet on the "market" or did you refer to 2010 September?

No it's definitely out there, Blade Magazine does some weirdness where they send out magazines MONTHS before the date on the cover. Mine was delivered last week some time. I too enjoyed the article. Started out in a barn? Your Dad also does knives? Anyway, it was a great read, and this is another very impressive piece as has been everything I've seen you post here.

*mind is blown*

Really amazing..................... I can't imagine the time put into planning this project.

That is just bad ass Andre..You have a fertile imagination!! Kelly Carlson and I were big admirers of your work, and when I pursuaded him once to do a leaf dagger for me, you agreed to help us with the steel.. I love the way that piece turned out, and when it was finished I asked Kelly to express my graditude to you.. He said he would, and I have no doubt he did..

Andre, I wanted to mention to you also that the very last knife Kelly made, he used your dads damascus.. Kelly gifted it to me, and I have never shown it to anyone, but if you and your father would like to see it, let me know and I'll send the photos.. A persian styled folder..Beautifully made...
Andre, Thanks for posting this new Art Dagger... I like it very much, Best Regards, Rich
