DURHAM. N.C. — That cup of coffee just not getting it done anymore? How about a Buzz Donut or a Buzzed Bagel? That's what Doctor Robert Bohannon, a Durham, North Carolina, molecular scientist, has come up with. Bohannon says he's developed a way to add caffeine to baked goods, without the bitter taste of caffeine. Each piece of pastry is the equivalent of about two cups of coffee.

While the product is not on the market yet, Bohannon has approached some heavyweight companies, including Krispy Kreme, Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks about carrying it.

I'm begging for a joke here, but can't come up with a thing. What do you guys think?

Isn't there some kind of risk at consuming too much caffeine too fast and heart problems???????????

I can just see it...........cup of joe and a couple donuts and you're wired for hours..........or at the hospital because your heart went into spasms:eek:

No one has yet pointed out the obvious correlation between the discovery and its implications for night-shift LEO's... ;)

Everyone here seems to think that this is a good idea. Honestly, even with the taste of caffeine they can't be any worse than the state's coffee. Seriously.

Yeah, after 14 hours yesterday I could have used a little help...........well, it didn't help that I hadn't eaten all day either................

Most of us developed the caffinated donut a long time ago; every time we dipped it into a cup of Joe.
