Scissor Sharpening

Hi all. I have read scissor sharpening involves more than just getting the steel sharp, and I realize this is out of my realm.

I have an old pair of heavy steel scissors my S.O. loves. They are loose and dull and I'd love to send them to a master for an overhaul.

Any recommendations on who the right person for the job would be?

Sharpening conventional scissors isn't especially tough. It's beautician's shears that are typically the difficult ones to contend with.

YouTube has some good videos. If you don't want to risk that one I would buy a cheap.one at the dollar store. Dull it and sharpen it a few times. As was said if it's a haircutting scissor it's a different story.
