Scissors and bladeless MT in non-knife cultures

This is a bit of a tangent to a lot of the topics below. It's in regards to non-knife cultures such as Israel, Mexico, and Japan, and for heavily restricted knife areas such as Chicago, Australia, and NYC.

How do these cultures and areas react to conventional scissors, scissor based MT, and bladeless multi-tools?

Good Question. I took the blade off of a small gerber multitool (cant remember which model) and carried it last summer (vacation). At the Atlanta aquarium they "Checked" it for me and in DC I carried it into all the museums in my pocket and they never seemed to care. Very quick search on the wifes purse and camera bag and thru the metal detectors we went. Sorry thats all I know.
