scissors based multi tool

my (very little) experience with cutting 550 with scissors made me choose Wenger's SAKs over anything else, because they have little teeth. These teeth are very helpful to cut paracord, since all my other scissors seem to slide on it.
I have a small "esquire" model that cuts through 550 very well, you might consider a bigger model if you're very serious about lanyard making (making them by dozens a day?).

I don't know about other serrated scissors, but any serrated scissors should do the trick better than plain straight ones.

Same here, my plain edged surgical scissor (the real deal, not the $1 surgical stainless crap) just slide on it unless I hold the cord, but my serrated avation snip cuts without any slipperage.

Let’s see if we can find the right forum …

I would choose a leatherman micra, in fact i did (6 times).
Its the best micro multi i've seen.
I carried my first micra daily for 2 or threes years either on a keychain or around my neck. The other micras i got via an ebay lot buy.
However i don't currently carry the micra mostly because i've gone back to saks, a vic compact replaced my micra in my edc.
