There i was, in the middle of the truck yard, choking on the clouds of dust billowing around us as trucks drove past on the 4" thick dust road. The sweltering 33 celcuis heat did'nt help either, i was sweating pretty good and that only caused all the dust to stick to me like plaster. Anyways, I was waiting for the other driver to arrive, so i started greasing the U joints, the kingpins, the steerknuckles, and about 20 other grease nipples on the hoist on the truck.
Buddy showed up, honked the horn and passed something out the window to me...
hey a rusty old machete! It was in one of the garbage bins he picked up.
HEY!!!! a #12 Martindale! with the logo and "Made in Sheffield England" stamped into the steel. 3 grooves ala BUSSE running parallel along on the blade.
ok, it was a bit rusty, and DULL, but once i get my mitts into it and start sanding with 3M wet/dry and wd40, and then sharpen it, i'm gonna go clear some brush!
WOOT!
