Went to a local flee market this weekend and found this Victorinox Executive knife. They guy wanted 6 bucks, talked him down to 4, because it had gunk on almost every tool and the spring on the scissor was a little tweaked. (a steal at 6 but if I can get it for less)

When I got home, I cleaned and sterilized it. Gave it some TLC, fixed the spring and now have a nice little knife to add to my Vic collection.

Its not mint but I would call its condition good and well worth 4 bucks.

This is the second good deal I've found at flee markets or pawn shops. Of coarse you have to go through hundreds of cheap china crap hoping to find a gem.

Nice find! That sure IS a steal!

But it seems most folks will not admit to themselves that pocket knives need occasional upkeep. They just toss them to the side when they're too gunky.

I've been drooling over the executives lately! It just bothers me to no end that they put the main blade on the same side as the keyring! ahhh, no me gusta

True. But, OTOH, the pen blade, nail tool, and scissors open on the opposite side. I'd rather have those open opposite the key ring than the main blade. If I had the power to redesign it, I think I'd leave it as is.
