Scored a BK6 blank from the big auction site, pretty excited. But in my search i found one of the fake Chinese knock-off BK6's with our illustrious leader's likeness on the box. if you do a search it's easy to find. But if any higher-ups on the forum want the link i will PM it to you.

if its the same one, there is also a pic of it in the becker blade database in the stickies... under the BK6 "Adolph Kaster" is the name on the fake. is that the one you saw?

Ill post pics,,,want to have it ground and use it. I don't believe in keeping knives in the safe, especially Beckers.

I was watching that one, too - requested the seller to post pics, realized when he did I didn't have the skills or tools to grind a blade that big much less whatever else would be required to get that beast useable.... Congrats- pics please of the whole process if you are able. I'd be interested to see what the process of taking a full thickness blank to a finished Patrol Machete looks like.

i wouldn't mind scoring a fake for lols, but beyond that, not much interest.

afaik, the maker was ... encouraged to stop? ;)

I probably should have done some pics of the process for the BK6 blanks I've been grinding... Had them heat treated at Peters, and need to polish and put on an edge. BK6's are pretty darn cool.

Got the blank in today, no time for pics due to work. On the auction page the seller was not sure if it was heat treated yet. Any way of figuring that out ? The blade is already stamped BK&T over Camillus New York, USA. I put on a spare set of stock handles, it feels pretty sweet. It's a shame they aren't in production anymore.
