While visiting a local knife shop in Ft. Mill SC, I noticed this old Old Timer in one of the display boxes.
Yep, an old U.S.A. made Schrade Old Timer Folding Hunter (model 25OT).
It appears to have been very lightly used if used at all.
No sheath, but the box and paperwork was there.
For $40.00 bucks I couldn't resist....

That's a great find, especially at that price. I have one much like yours, with brown box & sheath, and another Schrade-Walden version (slightly earlier vintage, but same model). Folding Hunters are one of my favorite patterns. These are great old knives, and the blades take a fine edge.

Great knife!!!

I carried and used one actively for many years. Mostly on-the-go Daily food prep.

It never failed me. Kept a great edge with minor care.

Schrade made many great Very Large Bladed knives that could be unobtrusively carried without pocket clips. No "Probable Cause."
