got lucky, right place, right time. Scored a SOG BG-42 Field Knife, complete with box and original sheath. Don't know if it is NIB, but I don't worry about such things. It is in great condition.
This is my 2nd Field Knife ..... and a very rare one at that.
And it is sharp in a way I am not used to sharp. It is "beyond sharp" for me, I don't think I've ever experienced sharp like this. Just a gentle move of the edge up my forearm and it is like the hair pops off. Definitely shaving sharp with zero tug whatsoever on the arm hair. I've not experienced anything like it. Strange but true. I've been around "razor sharp" knives but this is something entirely different to me. Hair-popping sharp, scary sharp .... yes and even more.
