Not for me though. This is for a girl I dated for 2 years (before I got married). When we were together, I told her I wanted to buy her a nice (auto) watch. She really liked the Aqua Terra. She turns 27 in 11 days so I was checking out the Evil Bay and found this Ladymatic. It is in recently overhauled condition and is coming from a jeweler with great feedback. I paid just under $300 shipped. (Hopefully we can get back together after the ink dries on the divorce papers)

She will weather and fade like the rest of them.....( am talking about the watch ) ....;)

Even if it does, it's not necessarily bad --- could be wabi sabi. Look at this fairly uncommon Omega Ranchero. To my eye, there's nothing wrong with the way it weathered or faded. Wabi Sabi.

I got it. It gains about 10 minutes per hour so I'm taking it to my watch guy to have it regulated. That's no biggie and shouldn't cost much.

Gaining 10 minutes per hour implies that it's magnetized. It shouldn't cost much, if anything, to get it demagnetized.

Sweet, that makes a lot of sense. My watch guy is Rolex trained so it will be a quick buck for him

Good looking watches you got there Matt. Hope she digs the watch and everything works out for you.

My watch guy said the fix would be $90. Worth it in my opinion.

For $90 make sure he's cleaning, servicing, and lubing it and not just degaussing the mainspring and regulating the watch. It is simple and quick to just degauss and regulate a watch.

Never put a mechanical the watch on top of a stereo speaker, refrigerator, or anywhere else there is a magnetic field.

Yes, its getting serviced.
