Do we know if I can send her in to get a tanto put in, will I get the original blade back?

That's a good question..
Used to be, they wouldn't exchange blades for an exclusive...Such as a drop point for an Insingo..but you can go from an Insingo to a drop point.
I doubt they will go for a drop point to Tanto, but you won't know unless someone that has asked chimes in or you give them a ring.

Let us know either way please.

I have a new style pivot on the way, kinda wish I held out for the old style..guess I'll just have to buy another one.
Does yours have the over travel stop?

It does but the trade off is it doesn't have the logo engraved... wonder if that can be replaced with the new ones

OK..Its official..I hate you:D

Some would say that has more collector value as a transition config. I do understand wanting the logo'ed stop.

Beautiful score..Congrats again, use it well..

Looking forward to seeing the edge you put on that one..

I have no idea either way, but since the Tanto is no longer an exclusive maybe they'll be willing to do it?
 
I have an old pivot. Very cool looking knife that I like a lot. Having said that, each time I go to take it down for cleaning, I wish I had the new pivot version. The switch away from that 4-pin proprietary pivot was actually a good thing for the end user I think.

Buy both!
 
^ ya I used to have an old pivot. I thought it was the coolest until I tried the new pivot. Sooo much better IMO. Old pivot is still cool looking though.

Just got off the phone w/ CS..was told they wouldn't swap a Tanto for drop point..I was looking to do this as well...damn.

Ya.... I spoke to Kayla and no dice for putting in the tanto.... that's alright, she is still lovely
