Scorpius marking on handle.... an E with and arrow....

I just picked up a new Scorpius and am very impressed with the feel and quality of the knife. The ergonomics are superb.
I was suprised to find a marking on the grip. It looks like a capital E with an arrow tip on the right bottom portion of the E. This E is found on the clip side of the handle located between the top edge of handle and the pocket clip. It does not come off and might even be scribed? Is this normal for this knife??

That E is Eric Glesser's symbol. He was the man who designed the knife. On certain Sal Glesser designed knives like the Native III, you will see a stylized version of Sal as his symbol also.
