Scotch brite and scales...

Will scotch brite pads do any damage to the scales? looking to remove the rest of the coating on an ARK and curious if it will hurt the scales or not.
 
Not from what I can tell. It does clean them up. Have used it on all my knives. The appearance will lighten some but they'll darken again once you start handling the knife. The natural oil from your hands will give it the look you're used too. The knives I've gotten have all been from the Company Store, fresh out of the box. They were all light in color until I put my sweaty. oily hands on them. :D
