My older 3m Scotch Brite belt finally gave out at the joint.
I doubt there is any practical way to repair it (correct?), so I am looking for a new one.
I generally use the superfine belt, or grey one.
I have called around and found that Trugrit carries the one I had, 3m at around thirty bucks.
Supergrit has one by Sungold(?) that they say is comparable at less than half the price of the 3m one.
USAKnifemaker has one by Klingspore that runs about double the Sungold one, but is out of stock.
Anyone else I should check with?
And any experience with non-3m brands?
I generally prefer to buy quality, but find, occasionally, that quality and price is not always proportional. And the prices seem to range, but for different brands.
Thanks,
Brome
