Scotch Dispenser with slabs?

Was the Scotch Dispenser ever made with slabs, or is the skeletonized version the only one?

I think I saw a couple of people modding them with slabs but they never came with them from the shop.

I ended up not liking mine, so I removed the micarta and made a necker out of it. I have a few more to play with, but one is to be used for a folder. Ban's is the only finished one I've seen so far.
