I'm wanting to Scotchbrite my large micarta but have never seen anyone do this. Is it even possible?

You will need to use something like these hand sanding sticks. The pointy end is for sanding those hard to get to places like the plunge, choil and other corners on the knife. You could use something like this to get inbetween the inlays and round the edges. :)

BBQ Boy--make sure you document everything as you can go so we see what you did and so we can enjoy the end results with you.

I can get it pretty smooth buy bead blasting it.

Probably even lighter than this one, would be easier to smooth out the rest of the way like Haze mentioned?
