So...

I got on the list back on 02-28-09. I am starting to get my hopes up.

Anyone else still on the waiting list?

Anyone take delivery this year?

You got on the waiting list this year. Unless I am mistaken, Scott is running 2-3 years backlog.

Hi STeven,

2-3 years....LOL

I have been on his waiting list for over 4 years!!

Hi Dean,

Just kick back and relax...you have years to go before you see your knife.

Well, I think I have the record...

Order date 04 / 27 / 2005
Arrive 09 / 16 / 2010
Five years, five months and nine days...

It was a long but a worthwhile wait...

Geez, you must have the patience of a saint. You can watch your child's 8th grade graduation, attend his/her high school graduation and start fretting over paying their second semester college tution in the time you waited for that knife! :D

P.S. Wanna sell it? :D

That's a very cool knife ! S90V is my favourie steel for now.
Oh, and if someone is interested I've got a similar model available for trade.

Five years.

Does anyone care to guess how many knives are in Scott's order book?

You can't tease with just one picture. ;)

Well, I have some snapshots of the unpacking process...

It was very funny because I haven`t anything sharp to open de box...

Just for fun . . .

That was a really cool knife 5 years ago.

Due to the monoframe construction, it's still pretty cool, but the big draw is MONEY.....I flipped one of these for close to $1,000.....try doing that with a plain Jane Sebenza.

Best Regards,

Thanks Anthony for that mention. I'd never heard of that, and after a Google search, I'm impressed.

Probably years in waiting and certainly even more costly than Scott's Lochsa is GTC's integral folder. Deserves a mention as it's quality.

I like the look of this blade and I luuuurve S90V but in all honesty it looks just like a Sebenza to me. Why would someone want to wait 5 years for one?

Check out Lionsteel....SR-1

Well, It looks like even "five years later" they didn't resolve some problems that scott does...

Look at the end of the lock bar. They need another piece (in a different steel) with two screws...

To much complex (for my taste), but a interesting folder, in any case

In profile the Lochsa may look like a Sebenza in feel it's nothing like one. Yes, I have owned both. The Sebenzas are gone and the Lochsa rides in my pocket frequently. Yes, I might have made money on it before committing it to user status (it's a lefty BG-42, so who knows) but it's probably my favorite EDC folder. Everything is right about it for me.

As for that Lionsteel knife, it's a nice effort with some intersting features but seriously lacking aesthetically. Several other makers have produced integral frame knives that are much easier on the eyes (GTC and Bailey Bradshaw both come quickly to mind).

With all of that said, the wait list and the secondary market pricing suck...but such is capitalism.

Well, meanwhile you can use your Sebenza, as I did....;)

Seriously, I know that there's always a reason NOT to do something but in this case, why not ? There are no pre-payments, no signals, no compromises, no nothing. You just put your name on a list. What can you loose...?

And as far as I know, cancellations are not a problem...

Unfortunately his website states he is not accepting any new orders.
