Apparently he is not currently accepting orders, but when he is I am totally ordering one in S90V. That is one beautiful folder.

I have one order with S90V. (It has been on order 2-3 years.) It is an amazing knife! I have had the pleasure of holding one! And yeah, WOW does describe it!!

There is a signed and numbered Lochsa up for sale on an auction site now. Their asking price is $2499.00.:D

Those are terrific.
Classy design, bank vault lock-up and construction and still soooo smooth.

The word "grail" is way overused here! I own one, am in 2 or 3 slots in the order list and it has been waaaaay over 2-3 years. I am just saying is all. They are amazing knives though, the secondary market is ablaze with them

Get one! You will not be disappointed

The Lochsa is even more amazing in person. I have a left handed in S90V, and he is the only one that I know of that takes the concept of of an "integral" knife into the world of a folder. They are really unbelievable.

I took a look and it is one of the numbered first production run. It is not a Prototype because all the 'proto' are marked as such. caveat emptor is all I can say about that one.

Lochsa has been my edc for the past year and all I can say is if you get a chance to buy one - do it. Great lock up, comfortable to hold and shaving sharp blade.

I don't understand why not expand production just to caught up with some demand, even increase the prise is ok. Does Scott make any money on these? Why not to make more?

Maybe he doesn't want to lose that personal touch that the current knives have. I doubt he would be making them if he wasn't making money. Increasing productions means spending more money on labor and equipment, which means more risk. He could just be comfortable with the amount of current demand.

I would rather the Locsha stay at the high level of quality that it is. AND I will happily wait as long as it takes to get the one I have on order.

Considering the waiting period which is now what, 3 years? I think, clearly, the demand is far greater than the supply.
And let's not forget that's just one model. I remember there used to be rumors and talks about small Lochsa, which I'd get in a heartbeat and donno what else he could've done including Lochsa II and so on...

Milling titanium to the close tolerances he uses in a one man shop, is a very slow process. When Scott goes to shows he usually carries pieces in several stages (from a beginning sheet of thick titanium to the finished knife) to show how they are made and it is a tedious process. Much more so than I initially thought. I have been carrying one and using it for around 4 years now. Even with my penchant for slipjoints, there is no denying that they are great knives. Well worth the wait.

Waiting years for a Custom knife, is quite common when there is demand and greatness involved. Many custom collectors have knives they have waited on for long periods. The longest I have waited was around 6 years after placing an order.

I agree with Rich. Grail knives is getting a little overused. A "grail knife" should be next to impossible to find and should involve a long search or a heck of a lot of luck or connections. My "grail" knife was a Kit Carson Auto. Took almost a decade and the help of friends, but number 2 (Kit has #1) found its way into my collection. I have not figured out if I am due another grail knife on my lifetime. I think one was enough. :D.

am in 2 or 3 slots in the order list

How about tossing one of those slots my way ;)

He is currently taking orders on his other knife, The Owyhee hunter. It looks pretty cool too:

As for the cost of the Lochsa, it is listed at $565 stock. It is extra (not sure how much) for S90V.

Maybe I'll get on the list for an Owyhee hunter is S90V... that looks pretty cool as well

I recently took delivery of a Lochsa. I've knives from DDR, William Henry and Chris Reeve. The Lochsa has the best combination of fit/finish/elegance and that je ne sais qua that separates it from my Chris Reeve, DDR and William Henry knives. The lock up is DDR solid, the fit and finish is Chris Reeve plus a bit more, and the design and elegance of everything, (even the pocket clip's edges have elegant radiuses!) separates it even from the William Henry. Before I took delivery of it, I considered flipping it to the 'bay, but after I got to handle it I changed my mind; this is one knife that I will keep and use as long I own knives.

That's a beautiful knife.I like the fact that it is one solid piece of Ti.

Great pics too:thumbup:
