I just traded into this at the Wolverine Knife Show here in Novi MI. I could not believe I found one there let alone that he was willing to trade for it. I have had a few Sawby's in the past and it seems someone would always talk me into selling it to them. Now that Scott no longer offers these they are getting harder to find and the price keeps going up on them so I think this one will stay in my pocket this time. This will be my new EDC since one of the knives I traded for this was my carry knife and this one has a 3'' blade so its perfect for carry here in MI. This is the Combat Utility model with Scott's Self Lock he invented and the frame is heat treated 416 stainless, the bolsters and liners are one piece and the scales are linen micarta and the pocket clip is handmade 440C spring hardened. I don't know what the blade steel is but I know he only uses the best so it really don't matter to me what it is I know it will hold a edge and the geometry is very good with a nice thin cutting edge and a high hollow grind.

One of the best of the "tactical" designs. I've had a C/U or two and really like how thin they are. Scott's ambi self lock is a very user friendly design and the reversible clip makes it a very flexible piece.

Sounds like you also see the how great Scott's knives are. I would like to see him make a line of tactical folders using different blade shapes and openings. The Self Lock could be used in so many different ways.
