While I had been saving for a folder, last night, I saw this Slobodian, and well, smitten by it, the folder went out the window and this Tanto should be here tuesday. :)

6.5" blade is forged 1050, with an amazing looking, very complex Hamon with several lines and outlines sort of too, all fittings and the Dragon Menuki are antiqued "Merlin's Gold" using the Lost Wax casting technique, the wood is premium Thuya Burl, the knife has full takedown construction with the removal of the one black handle pin.

I have wanted one of Scott's Tantos for a while, this is the one that when I saw it, I knew that was the one I had been waiting for, the Hamon looks really impressive. Can't wait until it gets here to see it all in person, but it's only saturday, and tuesday is a looooong ways off! But, I have the pics to get me by...

Excellent score. I am a big fan of Scotts work though I have yet to own anything. A prize for any collection.

you are really just paying for the blade, everything else is gravy.

Great score, Ari, you should be very happy.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

1050 produces amazing results when treated the Jpz way. I don't know why 1050 does that but not the higher alloys, 1080, 1095, etc...

Really wanna go there, Donna??? :)

Seriously though, they can't all be 13"ers like your 2 bowies, you're spoiling me. :D

Nice score. Thanks for providing my new desktop wallpaper :D

Scot's work is outstanding and I've been an admirer of his blades since I saw one of his katanas in Blade magazine.

Amazing work of art by Mr Slobodian, and your pics aren't half bad either ! A good way to honour such a piece.

Isn't that hamon just something else...  :) Jason.
