This is the Scott Taylor M.S. Memorial Scholarship knife for 2006. The scholarship was started afters Scott's untimely passing in Dec 2004 by his wife Margaret and friends. The scholarship will fund 2 students going to the Bill Moran School of Bladesmithing. One for the Introduction to Bladesmiting class for the sum of $700.00 and one for the Handles and Guards class for the sum of $600.00. The scholarships are designed to assist those who are in need of finacial aid in order to attend the calsses and will be selected through the college. The knife is scheduled to be auctioned off during the ABS auction at the Blade Show in June. All funds generated from the sale of this knife go to the scholarship. If you are interested in the knife or scholarship, more information can be obtained by emailing me at bldsmith@cox.net. I can email an application or for better pictures see my website, or I would be happy to email a larger one to you. Photography was donated by Bob Glassman.

Thank you

this is one of the nicest bowies I have seen. A question; is there swedge/false edge on the other side of the blade? I ask because I tend to prefer bowies with this feature.

I checked out the photo on your website of the other side of the blade and it doesn't appear that there is swedge.

No I did not put a swedge/false edge on this knife. I intended to be more along the lines of a camp knife verses a traditional bowie. I have not used the false edge too often, I have not perfected the look of them as yet so i don't fell comfortable useing them much. I am working on 3 right now, a 10 inch semi traditional with random pattern Damscus, a massive 13 inch long 5160 with a killer temper line, and a San Fransisco style also out of 5160 with a nice temper. All have nice false edges.
Thank you for the Great compliment:D . It really means a lot esp for this knife. Scott was a great friend and we really want to keep his memory and his love of the forged blade alive.
