I made this Scottish Dirk for a friend of mine for Christmas. It is differentially heat treated 1095. Cocobolo handle and scabbard. Brass and nickel silver trim and pins. The blade is 12 1/2" long. Hand tooled leather clip secures the scabbard to the belt. This will look good in traditional dress kilt and all. Let me know what you think.

Beautiful! The blade is excellent, the handle is traditional in
a simple, tasteful way and the scabbard *really* sets it all off.

Your friend is going to be very happy.

That is a real gift, when when one makes a hand made item to give to another. Well done !

Nice. I really like the execution on the blade and the pommel especially. Very nice classy "old school" look!

One of my goals for this year is to get my modernized dirk style figured out to match the sgian dubhs I've been doing.

Thanks Christof. I took a look at your site and I really like your knives and style. I'd love to see the dirk that you come up with.

I absolutely love Scottish/ Celtic style knives. Good to see it. I like the patina, as you don't see many differentially heat treated and etched dirks. Good job.
