Scottish influenced dagger design...

It is a thin dagger....The O1 blade is 3/4" wide but 4-1/2" long with an OAL of 9". The handle is cocobolo with deer hide stretched over it in a French twist pattern that really gives the handle some "grip".

I recessed the area under the deer hide (smaller diameter) so that after I stretched the leather over the wood, the whole handle would have the same diameter. Doing this also "captures" the leather wrap so that it doesn't slide up or down the handle.
