If you ever make it out to Nebraska, which is a very beautiful state, be sure to stop here. This is a bluff that rises 800' above the valley floor. You can drive to the top (you'll go through 3 tunnels) or hike if you are not afraid of heights as the trail is narrow in places with a steep drop off...no railings here. The trail includes a tunnel also. Wife and I drove to the top and took the hiking trail down the bluff to the tunnel, turned around and went back to the top.

We arrived here while driving back to Missouri from the Black Hills and Badlands in South Dakota.

The first picture with the sign in it has the bluff in the background. the rest are taken from the top or from the side of the bluff on the hiking trail.

Went there years ago, coming down from Chadron- tis indeed a starkly beautiful spot. Did you stop by Chimney Rock?

We saw Chimney Rock from the highway; we had to get back to Missouri and couldn't check everything out. This was the tail end of a ten day trip to the Black Hills and Badlands which I have made another thread about also with pics.

Great pictures, Thanks. I though I felt the presents of a BK16 in the state. Did you go through Lincoln?

We left the Black Hills and headed South to Scottsbluff (camped at a State Lake not far from there & went to Scotts Bluff in the morning) and then followed the North Platte East on HWY2 & HWY30. At some point we got on Interstate 80, went to Lincoln and took HWY2 to Nebraska City where we camped. I have camped at two places in Nebraska City; down by the river they have a campground and a private campground on HWY 2.

Nebraska is a wonderful state.

I grew up in Nebraska and miss most of it quite often. Thanks for the pictures and memory lane.

indain caves SP is by Nebraska city . Good place to camp, hike, mountain bike.

We know about Indian Cave State Park; we couldn't stay there last year, it was Memorial Day weekend and it was full. Don't have any idea when I'll be back out in that neck of the woods but I would like to see it. My wife researches this stuff more than I do, she probably knows more about the park than me...I find the place quite interesting with a name like "Indian Cave"!! Seems like a place I would want to explore.
