Can anyone put a manufacturing date on this one? I've read a couple different things, that are conflicting.

The lettering on the blade might reveal a clue as to who it was made for. Which might date it.

With a magnifying glass, looks like it is a Camillus. The scales remind me of their Sword series. John

That would be a Camillus #97 Outdoorsman, from their Prestige Line of deluxe Indian stags. It often had a Sword Brand etch on the main blade. Camillus manufactured them for a number of years, starting I think in 1972. If memory serves me, they were still listed on the Camillus website when the doors were closed.
