How many companies made official BSA Scout knives? Counting GSA knives too?

At least a dozen, probably more. Case, Buck, Imperial, Camillus, Pal, Utica, Victorinox, Ulster, Remington...

A few years ago I photographed the knife collection of a local Scouting Museum. Here are a few of my favorites:

I would say most made scout knives back in the day, BSA was founded in 1910, Camillus, Case, Cattaraugus, Imperial, LF&C, New York Knife Co., Pal, Remington, Ulster & ( Dwight Divine & Son, Dwight Divine & Sons ), Schrade, Western, Victorniox, Wenger, Bear MGC, and then there are the ones made in China and unofficial Scout knives.

Here are the ones I own

Imperial Kamp-King ( example of unofficial ) my very first knife given to me in 1978
