Scout knife....

Thought I'd go ahead and post this here since it is done now. The blade is 1084 about 6 1/2" in length. The guard and the butt nut are both wrought iron. The handle is a very old and weather piece of elk stag with a piece of African blackwood.

This is one I finished on Saturday. Picture was taken at night with house lighting and a flash maybe, can't remember now. The handle is dark brown, not red.

Beautiful. The elk and the wood make a good combination on the handle.

Ray Im pleased that you took my suggestion and darkened the handle! She is a sweet one!

Bruce, That was pretty much what I thought I should do from the start but some people do seem to like naturally colored handles. Found out two things, one is to just go with my instincts and things will be just fine. Two, its nice to the get the input form others before hand everyonce in awhile.
