I was unable to get back there over the weekend as I had hoped, but still made it out for a hike yesterday afternoon. Not 50 feet from the trailhead, I got stung on the ankle by a fire ant. Burns like an MF'er! Yet another reason I generally wear taller boots and long pants.
As usual I found more cool rock formations, and some decent sized rock caves
This one was probably 6' by 6' inside
Another relatively large one
Looks like someone has had a fire in here
Along the stream
Leading down to a waterfall
The falls drop down behind this phone pole
No way to get down there, the drop is a good 20'
Little slide mark in this wash looked like a snake had gone through, I looked around but didn't see one
Traveling light
With some light cutlery to harvest some bamboo
Heading out
