scouts

That set was actually manufactured by George Schrade, not Schrade Cut.Co. he split off from the Walden gang early on and went to Europe to drum up business for his knives. once WWI started he was forced back here and eventually went to work for Challenge Cutlery. He invented the wire jack knives (as in the scout set), along with the Flylock knives and Pressbuttons, among others. Challenge licensed the wire jacks and Flylocks from him, and when the company went belly up, George aquired it through unpaid royalties for his products. (That's the extremely abridged version)

There is also a Girl Scout version, looks very similar although the inserts on the knife handle are Green, as opposed to Red on the Boy Scout sets.
