Scrap flint and steel striker I am showing mine lets see yours

I simply can't throw a steel scrap away and final decided to forge a few strikers out of them. Later in the week I will forge several Damascus scraps into strikers later this week. The knife edge is more a function of looks than being practical so I rounded the edge. I retrospect polished and refined edge on a gross movement tool does appeal to me on several levels

That is a darn nice "scrap". Very nicely done and good job utilizing the scrap metal.

Mine is simply a scrap of old file that I shaped and cleaned up on the bench sander. Not nearly as nice as yours but it does the trick.

Nothing wrong with your file IMO as its just the thought behind it as being thrifty and improvising. Grats!
