I run an industrial knife company and am always getting old blades form materials ranging from D2, ASP23, CPM10V, some carbide, Some 52100, and 316SS round 2 inch. All hard, some pcs not big enough only for folders. We also carry 2 x 1/4 440C bar stock. I was wondering if there was a market for such items with a chance to save makers money.

Might be interested in some.

Could you email me with a spec/price sheet or do you guys have a website?

Thanks:

i looked up your web site and couldnt find any reference , can you please let us know what you have avialable-thanks mark

I think there is definately a market here on Blade Forums.

Asking is fine, but if you wish to advertize/sell, I suggest upgrading your membership. It's cheap and beats the hell out of potentially getting banned for spamming.

Welcome to BF!

wow thats your first post? Magnussen gave some good advice... you can upgrade to platinum and i think you can sell stuff on a occasional basis or if you plan on dealing i think you need the big guy dealer membership. check it out - but i think you will find a market here in the for sale section, good luck--marekz

Thanks for the reply. Yes I do not want to bust the rules so I would upgrade before trying to sell on here I just needed to know if there was any intrest before I put time and money into this. Heck I would be more intrested in trade as I am always looking for knifes, handle material and steel. Can you trade without a sellers membership? Keep in mind most of this is scrap parts with some odd shapes but would be perfect (I thought) for smaller knives or folders without sinking a ton of money into it. I will take some pictures of what I have and see if anything can be done with it. I have traded with several local Knife makers but most of them require big steel. Thanks again.. I will put something together soon, just bear with me this is our busy time and I am swamped. PS anyone making Fish Fillet Knife I got something perfect for that is already mostly to size and with teeth on one side.

Sorry most of what I have would be hard with the exception of bar stock. It would have to be annealed or worked hard. Due to the tollerance of our work we work many parts hard. We have a hardness tester so will provide that info.

I'd be interested in scrap pieces too, as long as they're way cheap!

Send me a PM if this is still available (I know it's an old thread)
